Dental Web Design: Creating the Perfect Landing Page

It is very important in dental web design to have a landing page that is engaging. According to SocialTimes.com, the average attention span has dropped from twelve minutes to a meager five minutes. It is also important to note that most patients don’t scroll down. You have less than five minutes and limited space to exert influence over your existing and potential patients.

To get instant results make sure to offer instant access. This means providing a form for patients to fill out that directly emails you the information. It also cuts down on spam that accumulates from just displaying an email address.

What should you include in the form? Just ask for essential information like name, phone number and email address. If you need more information, you can contact them directly. It is okay to have other boxes like address, comments, and such that are optional, but try to keep the mandatory information to three boxes. Also, be personal. Instead of using “Submit,” try using more action-oriented language like “Get your Free Evaluation.” 

To get a good conversion rate, keep the landing page clean. All you need is a headline, a brief description of what is being offered, one image or video, and the form to collect information. That should be around the maximum five minutes you have to concern yourself with patients.

Make sure to be consistent. If you are using Pay Per Click (PPC) ads or other promotional material, make sure what they click on has the same message as your landing page. An example would be having an ad say “Get a Free Dental Exam” and then using those same words on the landing page as a heading or description. If patients get confused when they click-through to your landing page, they will usually hit the back button or exit out of the page.

Offer something valuable like the free evaluation form. You can also offer a guide, a free trial, demonstration, etc. Make sure to include social media sharing links once you offer something that patients want to share. This will drive the opportunities for conversions even further.
